Head injury is very common in pediatric age group.  Fall from height or, fall of heavy objects is common mechanism seen in Children, compare to road traffic accident for adults.

Prognosis depends on CT scan findings. Other common illnesses seen are congenital disorders of brain and spine, tubercular meningitis, and vascular strokes. 
Pediatric age group patients have good outcome, if they are treated on time and followed properly.

 

Parents are actively involved in care of children. Pediatricians are also involved in care of patients.
